The US Geological Survey reported that the quake struck 124 miles east-northeast of West Seneca, New York, with a depth of 186 miles. The earthquake was felt in much of Western New York around 6:15 am. There have been no reports of injuries or damage at this time. According to WIVB, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 13 miles east of West Seneca. The tremor was also felt in parts of Pennsylvania and Ontario, Canada. Geologists are monitoring the situation and say that there is no reason to believe that there will be any further earthquakes in the area.
